Our Clinic

We work with a wide range of clients in Worthing and across Sussex. We offer individually tailored assessments, therapies and training for children with speech, language, feeding and swallowing complications (dysphagia), voice and communications difficulties.

It is important that we get to know our clients by working flexibly across a range of settings. To fully understand the unique speech, language, communication, feeding and swallowing challenges that our clients might encounter we need to work with them in environments that are familiar to them (e.g. education settings, their own homes). There are however times when a clinic space creates a quieter environment to provide effective therapeutic support.

Our clinic in Worthing offers a relaxed and friendly space for clients and their families to explore how to enhance their communication skills. The space provides a comfortable and homely atmosphere whilst limiting distractions to support them to focus and engage.

We pride ourselves in working with the clients and their families to identify what their priorities are and ensuring that they are involved in all the decision making. We engage our clients by using things that motivate them to want to communicate, trying to make sure that they enjoy being part of the therapy. We work closely with other professionals, including our SLT colleagues in the NHS, to ensure joint working and collaborative communication.

We are committed to continually developing our clinical skills to offer up to date, evidence based, interventions for our clients.  We use a range of assessments, games and resources to get the most out of working with our clients.

Our clinic is located a short drive from the seafront just outside of Worthing town centre. There is onsite and roadside parking available in the surrounding streets.

​

The clinic is open Monday to Friday and also offers a Saturday clinic.
